I’m thrilled to see the new weather layer that was added! It’s got just about everything I think folks could have wanted.
I would like some information about what certain symbols mean and what the units are that some layer data are measured in.
On the METAR layer, some airports/weather stations have partially filled in circles, while others have the letter M. What do the circles and Ms mean?
The turbulence layer has measurements from 15-45. What is this unit? Same question for reflectively, cloud cover and visibility. Also, how does reflectivity differ from precipitation?
Stunning good work to provide all this weather information within Charts. Really very good indeed.
However, I noticed almost immediately that you do not show which units are in use etc for the data bar in the weather at the bottom of the screen. Without the units, the data just guesswork.
Please add the units to the display to complete this wonderful update.
One other thing - it appears to me that in the current release we are forced to choose between either the weather bar or the charts bar at the lower edge of the map.
It would be very useful to be able to see both of these at the same time, especially on arrival/approach/departure.
Units and also maybe some kind of legend or tooltip where a user can click to learn more about what the symbology means, and how to effectively use the information provided would go a long ways to educating users and more effective use.
