SimLink Update on 3/29 is crashing X-Plane 11

How do I roll back to previous version ?

I think Navigraph has done this themselves I was just prompted to update simlink and when i downloaded it and clicked install it said will install 1.1.19 which is the old version.

Installed the roll-back update and problem resolved. Thanks!

Yes, we have pushed the previous version (1.1.19) while we troubleshoot this issue, which we were unable to detect on our test systems. We’ll post another update when the problem has been resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Stephen

We’re still not able to pinpoint the issue on our test systems. If anyone is open to the idea that we connect to your system over Teamviewer for live troubleshooting, we’d be grateful. If so, please send a PM to me.

Installed the Simlink update this morning and found that it caused P3D V5.1 to crash as soon as a plane is loaded. Eventually disabled Simlink to Get P3D to start.

Found the following in the log file.

[2021-03-29 01:08:42] Navigraph Simlink Addon (v.1.1.20.0325) for P3D (x64) has loaded.

Same with me. P3D V5.1 crashed as soon as it started loading scenery objects. I uninstalled Simlink and now it works.
I guess Navigraph should review this update, please.

Hello!
I’ve the same problem, but my X-Plane crashes during loading the flight. If I delete the module from X-Plane, then it’s OK.

Hey,

I thought about it and decided not to reinstall simlink plugin,

This is not really realistic to check your position like this and for big airports, airport navigator plugin is more than enough to ensure you are on the proper direction/taxiway

hope this helps

Same here, but now, even reverting to previous version, the sim still crashes.

Same problem here. Xplane crashed.

Same issue (always CTDs) for me since lastest update to 1.1.20.0325. Windows 10, Prepar3D v5.0 HF2. As soon as I disable it from P3D Settings > Addon (unchecking) - restart P3Dv5, no more CTD.

Just loaded X-Plane 11.5 (Simlink 1.1.19.0104 previously installed). On this occasion, a popup message advised there is a new version of Simlink (1.1.20.0325).
I like to keep everything up-to-date and have never had any issues in the past so I did not hesitate.
New installer downloaded, followed the usual prompts… piece of cake
When I re-started X-Plane, the progress bar right to the point where the plane normally appears but then, on this occasion, a black screen and back to desktop?
Decided to fully un-install Simlink (via Apps & Features) and also deleted folder in AppData BEFORE re-installing Simlink 1.1.19.0104 and reloading X-Plane.
This time no popup message and X-Plane loaded without any errors
Suspecting maybe ā€˜update file’ download corrupt… visited Navigraph and downloaded version available…
Before proceeding with another install, checked the version of this download and… er… it’s 1.1.19.0104 ?
So, where did version 1.1.20.0325 come from and where did it go?

Similar issue, Prepar3D v5.0 HF2, after update to 1.1.20.0325, CTD as soon as I load default scenario, everytime. Disabled (from P3D Settings / Addons) => no more CTD.

Hi all,

We’ve tracked down the issue with Simlink v 1.1.20 which affected some users. We have a new build available, we’d like you to confirm that it indeed works for you too.

Please download and install 1.1.21 from https://download.navigraph.com/software/simlink/windows/Navigraph+Simlink+1.1.21.0329.exe

When launching, it will say ā€œThere is an update to Navigraph Simlink (1.1.19.0104)ā€. Press Not Now and keep using 1.1.21 for the test.

Regards,

Stephen

1.1.21 Seems seems to work for me on a quick test. Thanks for the fast response.

We’ve just released 1.1.21.0329 in our offical channel, and you should be prompted to update if you don’t have it already. This should resolve the issues you saw with the 1.1.20 version released yesterday. It also has improved memory management, which was the main fix with the recent updates.

Please try it and let us know the result.

Again, sorry for the problems with yesterday’s release.

Kind regards,

Stephen
