Simlink update loop

Simlink notified me today to update, what I did.
Now, after that, it pings me again and again to update.

“New” version is lower then installed one.

Hello!

Hmm, that looks odd. You might have been able to hit some window where a cache was still active in the wrong place. Are you stuck in that loop now, even if you restart Simlink?

The version listed in the bottom right is the latest.

Kind Regards,
Malte

thanks for the fast reply.
Yes, simlink is already restarted, loop continues.

I now even uninstalled it, redownloaded from Navigraph and redownloaded it.
Immediately reminds me of the “new” version after start

Can you visit this link and post the output here?

I’m having the same issue.

What does your Simlink app look like? See this screenshot:

Alright, so you have a different issue. You are still on an outdated version

How did you update the application? Using the “Download update” button? If you did, please check the downloaded file by:

  1. Right clicking it
  2. Press “Properties”
  3. Press the “Details” tab
  4. Check the reported “Product version” - take a screenshot and send it here

Hi,
Today I updated simlink as required, but I faced a dramatic fall down to 2 FPS in my P3Dv5.4. Following this, I had to uninstall simlink.

Can you please open an own topic as this has nothing to do with my problem!

ok, I simply restarted my PC, now it is solved

sorry for the confusion

No worries! Sounds like a bad cache somewhere.

We do have an issue with the current version though, it seems. If you have any trouble, please see this post for a link to the previous version:

Kind Regards,
Malte

NOOOOOOO!
Its back.

PC running now about 15 minutes and I got an update notification again :pensive:

Again, new version 1.1.37 and installed version is already 1.1.38

Hahaha, that’s too bad…

Can you try these instructions?

That is odd, and I can only blame cache in this case. We have done our part to purge it, so we are not sure what’s going on.

We have a new version releasing in a couple of minutes. Please do let us know if you are still having issues after that! The release will include yet another reset of the cache.

same here

Hello again!

Please try again, now with 1.1.39.1902 released! Let me know if the issue persists.
