Simbrief and Navigraph not available in EFB

Since yesterday I don’t see Simbrief and Navigraph in my EFB, just after I installed the updates from the Hub. So, what can I do to resolve this?

Hi…,

Welcome.

So we can assist, please provide Information requested when posting an issue - #5

Hi,
Please try to move all other packages (excluding the navigraph packages) somewhere outside the community folder and try again. I assume, some of your 3rd party packages are not 100% SU1 compatible …

Thank you,
Richard

Hi Richard, I did and it still doesn’t work. I also excluded the simbrief package and the problem persisted.

I had both the apps Simbrief and Navigraph in my EFB last saturday, just after I installed the Simbrief package in my community folder and since sunday both are gone.

Do I have to log in somewhere in the EFB?

Herewith an update to my problem. Today I included (only) the Hilversum (EHHV) add on to my community folder (next tot the 4 Navigraph folders) and that add on also does not appear in my FS. So, it looks like MSFS 2024 totally ignores my community folder, which could explain why it also does not copy the Simbrief and Navigraph folders in my EFB. Maybe I should check with MSFS, but hopefully you have a quick solution?

Hi,
I’m pretty sure now that your Community Folder path is “wrong.” Can you upload your UserCfg.opt file here, please?

Copy & paste this line into your file explorer, and you will find the file:
%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

Cheers,
Richard

Herewith the subject folder.
UserCfg.opt (3.5 KB)

Thanks - your MSFS2024 looks into this folder and take the packages from there:

C:\Users\Gebruiker\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages

Is this your community-folder where you have you the packages installed? I guess not, at least when I compare it with your first screenshot.

When not, copy the path of your community-folder. Open this UserCfg.opt file with a simple text-editor (like notepad or similar), go on the bottom of the file and replace the path in the InstalledPackagesPath with your community-folder. Save the file.

After that, start the sim and all should be in place as before.

Cheers,
Richard

PS: do you use SU2 beta - or SU1?

Regretfully, it did not work. I changed it exactly in the way you described it and while loading the game it got stuck at 7% Loading language. So, I couldn’t even check in the game if the apps were in my EFB and EHHV had the updated scenery.

I have my community folder installed on my desktop.

I have still SU1 installed.

The strange thing is, is that I had the Simbrief app available in my EFB for a short while, being Saturday afternoon, however it was not there at Saturday evening, which was als true for the Navigraph app.

Before saturday, I had my community folder working for the time (a couple oif months) I have been using it, this was also true for the Navigraph app in my EFB. Like I said, I only added the Simbrief app saturday afternoon.

The only conclusion I see at the moment is that since Saturday evening my community folder does not work anymore. … why?

Hmm, good question—but it seems that this has nothing to do with our apps/data. The strange thing is why and who in your system has changed the community path in the cfg file. Also, when you change the package path in the cfg file, why doesn´t the MSFS2024 load the packages …

Very strange; hopefully, you find an answer I am crossing my fingers!

Cheers,
Richard
