I had trouble getting SimBrief to open in the EFB MSFS2024, but it eventually started working. It worked fine for a week or so, but doesn’t show anymore. When I start the simulator it loads the starting airport and the destination of my last successful flight, so I’m guessing on some level its trying to load, however the icon to launch in the More menu is missing.
I deleted and copied back in the app file to the Community folder, but it still isn’t showing even after a reboot.
Hi…,
Welcome.
In Navigraph Hub, try Remove and Install of SimBrief EFB App.
Cheers
Ian
Hi,
In addition to Ian´s answer, please check in your library if the package is disabled
.
Marketplace → My Library → search for “navigraph” → check in the list, if any package is “Disabled”
When yes, “enable” it and try it again, please …
Cheers,
Richard
Perfect! Thank you!
I have learned from this.
Not Solved.
In Marketplace, My Library; under Community Content - Simbrief 1.2.4 shows as installed, however in the EFB the icon isn’t available in More, but had been there in the past.
Hi,
Please, can you upload two files:
- the
content.xml
file - the
usercfg.opt
file
Last, can you confirm that you´re using MSFS2024 SU2 (not SU3 beta) …
Thank you,
Richard
Thank you …
Please can you remove/delete the
navigraph-efb-simbriefapp-latest
package
from your
F:\MSFS\Community
folder and can you try it again …
Cheers,
Richard
Is not in my Community folder and not showing in Marketplace.
I do see it listed in Content.xml - how do I get it out of there?
Can you upload a screenshot of your EFB and here the settings
page, where you can add the apps as a favorite, please + the more apps
page:
Thank you,
Richard
Hi,
Thanks again … strange, it looks good.
Possible a corrupt or in-compatible package in your community folder?
Have you tried to move all packages out of the community-folder, excluding the
navigraph-efb-simbriefapp
Can you tried this please?
Also, be aware that the app is hidden in career mode …
If all else fails, we can look if we see something in your logs …
Cheers,
Richard
I removed everything accept SimBrief and the empty Community folder that’s in my Community folder - still doesn’t work.
‘fsuipc-lvar-module’ was also removed from the Community folder, but I noticed FSUIPC still loaded when i started MSFS and my Stream Deck + appeared to load - not sure if that is normal.
The Pushback toolbar didn’t load this time, so somewhat shows that its the correct Community folder.
Simbrief had stopped working before I worked with Microsoft to move my Community folder. I removed the non-functioning Simbrief and a couple of other addons before editing UserCfg.opt to use drive F. I had renamed the old Community folder to ‘old.Community’, which I checked and the -latest Simbrief was not in there. I went ahead and deleted that folder as its no longer needed.
The navigraph-efb-simbriefapp
folder should be moved into the community
folder, not outside.
Move this folder in your community folder and try again please …
Cheers
Richard
It is in the Commity folder, inside of the Community folder is another empty Community folder. Not sure why it’s there, bur I left it.
I assume you have an issue with the community folder.
What happens when you move the SimBrief package into the empty community folder inside the community folder?
Cheers
Richard
I moved it to the empty folder which didn’t change anything, so I moved it back and deleted the empty folder. After I restarted I checked and the extra Community folder wasn’t recreated - however Dispatch still doesn’t work.
I noticed on your screenshot of your EFB you have a favorite for ‘SimBrief Dispatch’, which I don’t have - so its not loading for some reason.
That is not normal. Are you positive that you have correctly identified the community folder? As in, are there any other addons that load, and do they disappear if you temporarily empty the identified community folder?
You can ensure that you have opened the correct folder by pressing this button:
Then this one:
The SimBrief EFB App is visible in this screenshot, so it should have loaded. Are you using the “Career” mode? Or a normal “free flight”?
If you are flying career missions, there could be specific limitations in place that are outside of our control - resulting in those apps not being available.
If you are in free flight, then something is off. You could try these instructions:
- Start the simulator and open the EFB
- Open http://localhost:19999 in a browser
- Find the entry that contains “Electronic Flight Bag”
- In the interface that appears, select the “Console” tab located along the top of the screen
- Send screenshot(s) of the complete output here
First, Marketplace Community folder:
I’ve never started Career mode, but something I intend to do.
This capture shows the errors:
Thanks
The console log showed all of those 404 errors, so what is next?
