PMDG 737 - "Not in data base"

Been having this issue since yesterday after installing the latest Airac data from the Navdata Center. Regardless of where I go in the sim, I get the “not in database” error.

I have tried the “solution” from the other user who posted the same issue - but with no luck. I have changed nothing on my sim other than this Airac update. Hoping to find out the root of the issue and get it resolved as I was not having this issue before yesterday.

I have this exact same problem. No issue before installing navdata. Looks like installed correctly in comm. folder but all fixes/airports state not in database.

So after messing with this for a few hours, I went into the working folder in the MSFS packages folder, and there was a nav folder in there. C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\NavData.

There was one runway file in there. Only file in the whole folder, I removed it (Saved it in case it didn’t work).

  1. Uninstall the navdata via the Navdata center. I also uninstalled the navdata for MSFS.
  2. Remove ARPT_RWY.dat in C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Flig htSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\NavData
  3. install the navdata again

Funny you mention this fix as I found it posted somewhere else not long after posting this - and indeed deleting/removing RWY DATA file fixed my issue immediately. Not sure why it went from working to not - but I will keep this in mind for future Airac updates. Cheers!

Hi gents,
good finding, thank you very much for sharing this.

To be clarify:
This file is NOT a part of the AIRAC updates and doesn’t contain in our setups. We don’t build this file. It is a internal PMDG file and I assume it will be re-created when you delete it.

Only to make it a little bit clearer

Thanks again for your reports and happy flying with a great addon
Richard
