We had a user notify us (FBW) of an issue with the ILS being aligned to the right of the runway at OMDB (Dubai) 30R. I was able to reproduce the issue both with our airplane as well as the default Asobo A320neo. It also occurs with runway 30L. I did not check the other directions.
When I removed the Navigraph nav data and used the stock MSFS nav data, the issue disappeared.
This is using the MSFS scenery for OMDB, i.e., no custom scenery installed for it.
Hi,
thanks for the question - I assume (or better I´m pretty sure) that this is due the wrong mag-var in the generic airports. It looks, that ASOBO/MS doesn´t use the published mag-vars, it looks they calculate the mag-vars on every cycle by their own.
The same are on the runways directly - it looks that ASOBO/MS calculate the headings and the mag-var for the runways and don´t use the real published one.
You also see, that the mag-var between the ARP and the runways are slightly differ - doesn´t make anything but it´s a indicator for me, that they calculate the mag-var and don´t use the published one.
There are hundredths of such examples in the MSFS but we use the real world values and that’s the problem in such cases, why it´s slightly off the center line.
Hi,
this issue should be fixed with revision 3 now. I have re-created a new revision (3) … please install this new revision via our Navigraph Hub. Thank you!
