Prior to installing Navigraph, I was able to see SIDs and STARs for 09L/27R. The base airport does not have runway 09R/27L, which I’ve added with the FSDG scenery linked above. This gets my FBW A320 MCDU to list the new runway, but I have no ILS/VOR/RNV procedures for it.
I decided to buy Navigraph to see if I could get ILS and RNAV procedures for the new runway. I was happy to see ILS for 09R/27L listed in the MCDU, but now I have no STARs at all for any runways. I still see SIDs for 09L/27R like earlier, but nothing for 09R/27L.
Is there some way to fix this? I understand this is expected if there is some mismatch/conflict between scenery and MSFS nav data, but what I can tell so far is that the runway numbers are set correctly as I can see the new 09R/27L runway listed in the MCDU (for visual approach). Is there something else I should look at?
Thank you for the quick acknowledgement! You’re probably right that this scenery isn’t 2024 compatible yet; in my 2024 marketplace it still says “not publisher approved” or something like that.
Hi again,
We have identified a bug in the MSFS2024 that has nothing to do with your scenery and whether this scenery is 2024-compatible or not. It looks like the MSFS2024 uses only the stock scenery for the airport layout, even when you have a 3rd party scenery installed.
That means, when runways are missing in the stock scenery or when the runway idents are wrong, you can´t select any procedures even when they are in the third-party data and even when the third-party scenery, which you have installed, has all runways and the correct runway idents.
I have opened a bug report for this in the MSFS2024 dev forum. Here is the reference link:
I´m sorry, we can´t do more here. There is no possibility of overruling this, so we must wait for what ASOBO/MS says. I hope that helps a little bit …
Thanks for confirming. FWIW, I have “liked” the post in the dev forum but looking at how many other issues they’ve got on their plate, I’m not going to hold my breath
If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the tool you’re using to list the procedures in that post? This issue got me very interested in how addons are made and I’ve been poring over the SDK docs trying to make sense of it all, but I couldn’t find a good tool to help me see how things are put together.
This reported issue is fixed with the upcoming MSFS2024 SU2 - we have tested the case in the latest SU2 beta, and we can confirm that this issue is solved:
