Almost everything is so straight forward in Simbrief, so as kind of a lazy fellow I haven’t yet had the need to go into details in your manuel (perhaps it’s not in there anyway..).
Thing is that, when I come to point of choosing the most preferable flightplan among your alternatives I will also go through the SIDs and STARs relevant to the different flightplan alternatives. In the dialog box for SIDs and STARs I then see lots of interesting alternatives - HOWEVER as it seems I am unfortunately not able to recall my eventually choice graphically on the Simbrief map - so in practise I’m choosing SIDs and STARs blindfolded!!.
Why is that? Am I perhaps missing out some workaround here?
The ability to preview SID/STAR’s is available in Navigraph Charts.
Once you have a suitable flightplan with the chosen SID/STAR’s in Charts, you can copy the plan text string across to SimBrief to get SIMBrief functionality.
Thanks Ian for your answer,
however in my opinion a rather laborious workaround from you there.
As I see it, one should be able to choose from a preview within the Simbrief itself.
Do you perhaps remember the good old FS Commander? in their flightplan preview, one was straight forward able to choose from a “graphical tree” of all the alternatives around the the departure and arrival airports before making the final choice!
