Hello,
I am noticing that even at P3D standard airports, I have smooth stutter free operation when I taxi and takeoff, but when I land after a flight there is severe stuttering and jerkiness. I saw a posting about this on this forum, and the user posted a video, it looks the same as I am experiencing. There was mention of an update coming to resolve this about a year ago. Has this been resolved yet? It makes the sim unflyable for me. Does simlink enable the moving map? I use it all the time especially to navigate around an airport, so I would hate to lose that functionality.
I also get this information when I look at the simlink log:
2021-07-16 05:36:41] Navigraph Simlink Addon (v.1.1.22.0602) for P3D (x64) has loaded.
I can confirm that if before landing I save the flight, and then reload it, there is no stuttering, which is exactly what was described back in 2017 with Simlink, that is to say that one must fly a certain period of time for the problem to occur.
Yes, you need SImlink for Moving Map. You seem to have the latest Simlink which addressed stutters.
That said, lets start from scratch with latest Simlink . Please disable any Antivirus and Firewall.
In Simlink Plugin Settings uninstall Simlink plugin from each FS, then completely uninstall Simlink using Windows Programs and Features exactly as under.
Ian,
I am pleased to report that after following these instructions, the stuttering is resolved. Good news. I did initially install Simlink on a secondary drive, and I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Of course now it is installed in the default location.
