Ever since installing Navigraph, X-plane has not always worked correctly. Crashed during flight several times, Then when I try to start x-plane started crashing and gave me this error message. “Crash Reporter: SSL CERTIFICATION PROBLEM Unable to get local issuer certification”. At this point I could click cancel and then sometimes click on x-plane 11.55r2 and x-plane would load and play. THEN today after downloading the new 2402 Airac cycle, now x-plane will not start no matter what I do. I was reading the forums and somewhere it told me to look at the custom folder. A log file in this folder says “Loading navigational data failed: Cycle mismatch between eath_fix.dat and earth_nav.dat. These files must come from the dame data cycle. Please note that X-plane 11 is not compatible with navdata files made for X-plane 10”.
I really am not too computer savy. I know Laminar says to uninstall programs that I think might be causing conflicts but I am not very knowledgable about doing so. I like Navigraph from what I have seen the past month but suspect I will have to stop my subscription. I hope not though. Hopefully, you can resolve this problem.
Hi…,
Welcome.
It seems like you have a messed up installation . Did you use the latest FMS Data Manager, or did you download and install manually?
In any event to get X-Plane 11 running again, you will need to run your \X-Plane 11\X-Plane 11 Installer.exe and choose Update. This should reset your X-Plane 11 to working.
Then download, install and run latest FMS Data Manager from Navigraph to update your Navigation Data.
Cheers
Ian
I clicked on Charts\Windows
and FMS Data Manager\Windows
and Simlink\Windows
and I think I went down to Manual Downloads\X-plane\X-plane 11 (11.50+)
Now When I click on X-plane 11\X-plane 11 Installer.exe it just shows a black square with X-system heading in the upper left corner and it stays on for about two seconds then disappears. Didn’t show any option to update. My original installation was from the CD set. Does this make a difference? It was at ver 11.20 or so as I remember.
(I hope you get this email, my email system is having problems sendings emails)
Thank you,
Jim Haun
Hi Jim,
Maybe try right mouse click on your \X-Plane 11\X-Plane 11 Installer.exe and Run as administrator.
You should get:
From which you should be able to click Update X-Plane.
Other wise you can delete all files and folders in (but not including)…your X-Plane 11\Custom Data\
Cheers
Ian
