You are a man of great patience and lucky to live in Melbourne. I was able to get it to pick up on the 11.50 file but it didn’t find the GNS file.

There is something strange on your system.
In Addon Mapping please select and click Remove your X-Plane 11 (11.50+) entry. Press Save .
Press +Add,
For Please select an addon…, use drop down arrow to select X-Plane 11(11.50+).
For Install into…, choose X-Plane 11. Press Save
Repeat for X-Plane GNS
You should have

I did exactly what you said and when I pressed +Add nothing shows. I have a second version of X-plane that I have kept at 11.4 or so that I could try this with.
There wasn’t anything there either. I am scanning my older x-plane 11.40 version. I also noticed there was not a GNS folder in Custom Data on the first version I scanned so I added the folder. I did use the drop down menu that you have circled. I’ll advise you when the process is complete.
