Navigraph Hub Blank

i,

I have recently had to reinstall MSFS to a new location. This has also meant reinstalling a lot of different aircraft that use Navigraph.

I needed to update my MSFS database but when the installation has finished and I try to run it I only get a blank screen .

I have:

  1. Uninstalled previous Nav Hub

  2. Redownloaded a new copy from Navigraph

  3. Turned off my Anti virus

Deleted the two folders in Community folder and the AppData/Temp/Navigraph

  1. Ran the installer with Admin privileges

  2. Moved the installer to another drive to no avail.

  3. Also redownloaded simlink and installed that.

Hope you can help.

Cheers

Peter

Hi Petercove,

This is likely due to Navigraph Hub’s inability to find the new location of the simulator packages. It is also not recommended to run the installer in admin mode.

I have activated extended logging for your account, could you please quit Navigraph Hub, and restart it? Then we would get some logs of what is going on

Kind regards,

Markus

Hi Markus,

I have done that now. I assume you are able to get a log file without me sending it to you?

Cheers

Peter

Thank you!

I got the logs here and there is indeed a somewhat cryptical error that we will try to find the cause of

With your current simulator configuration, Navigraph Hub expects to find the Community and Official folders (where your add-on packages are installed) in F:\XboxGames. Is that where these folders reside and is this directory readable for all users?

Kind regards,

Markus

Yes Markus,
Thats where they are. It appears the folders XBoxGames, Community and Official have FULL ACCESS for Everyone. See pics attached

Cheers

Peter

Okay so far so good… Can you please uninstall the current version of Hub and install this one (do not run it as an admin):

Kind regards,

Markus

Hi Markus,

  1. Removed all nav hub exes from downloaded folder
  2. Using Control Panel Uninstall Program removed navigraph hub
  3. Ran the navigraph exe you sent me (Not as Admin)
  4. No luck. Same blank screen as before.

Peter

Okay, lets try this one then. You will still get the same error but I will have some more debug info on my side…

Kind regards,

Markus

Hi Markus,

Done as requested. Same result though.

Hi,
Any progress getting Navigraph Hub to see my F:/XBoxGames folder?

Hi Peter,

Markus and many of the Navigraph team have been preparing for and are now at 2024 FSWeekend Conference in Lelystad

Apologies for delay. I expect we shall get back to you after the weekend

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Cheers
Ian

I’m seeing this as well and it’s an AIRAC update day.

edit: downloading 1.2.8 above fixed it for me

Hi,
I havent had anything back from Navigraph for a while. It is very frustrating, given the cost of a yearly subscription, not being able to use it. Navigraph Hub is the only application or addon that has a problem locating and accessing my MSFS installation folder.

Sorry for the delay @Petercove, I am trying to get our internal systems to provide a more detailed log of what is going on which is also dependent on a 3rd party service.

Could you please post UserCfg.opt file so that I can have a look?

Which aircraft do you have in Community/ that supports update of AIRAC from us?

Kind regards,

Markus

@Petercove please try this version out. it will not solve the problem either but now i should be able to see exactly where things go wrong

kind regards,

markus

Hi Markus,
I have run the Navigraph exe file you just sent me.
I hope the attached files might help solve this problem. I am not a computer expert so I’m not sure. However my MSFS is located on my F drive. There are two folders on the drive that relate to MSFS. Firstly WpSystem. In here there is a folder that contains Community and Official folders, both empty.
Then there is XBoxGames. This contains the same 2 folders but populated with my add ons. I have included pictures that show these locations.
To answer your question about which of my addons in the community folder that uses the AIRAC the following use it:
PMDG 737 all models
Leonardo MD 82, 83 and 88.
Fenix Airbus 320.

Kind Regards,

Peter

UserCfg.opt (3.47 KB)

Something strange is going on for sure… it looks as if it reads two different UserOpt.cfg:s, the one that you sent me which it’s correctly gets the F:/XboxGames from, but also a second one where there is no packages-path defined. Have you perhaps had a previous MSFS installed from Steam? I will prepare a new exe which logs where the second file is read from

Kind regards,

Markus

Hi Markus
I have never used the Steam version of MSFS. I will do a search of all instances of usercfg.opt files on my PC and delete all but the one I sent you.

PC

Hi Markus,
Good news. I think I have it up and running. My search found 4 different locations for usercfg.opt. I renamed all but one and ran Navigraph Hub. This gave me a screen as per my OUTSIDE picture. I couldnt do anything other than add the Fenix. I then renamed the file in WpSystems back to usercfg.opt and it worked. The proper Navigraph Hub appeared with options to update AIRAC where needed.

Thanks for the assistance. I think the issue was a wrong usercfg.file. What a tricky problem.

Updating the Fenix now.

Cheers

Hey @Petercove

The last file in the list looks as it is in the location where Hub expects to find the simulator if it is installed from Steam. I think the path to the packages folder is missing in that file and that caused a non-expected state in the app. Tricky indeed but I am happy that it works now  Thanks for your patience!

Kind regards,

Markus
