This is likely due to Navigraph Hub’s inability to find the new location of the simulator packages. It is also not recommended to run the installer in admin mode.
I have activated extended logging for your account, could you please quit Navigraph Hub, and restart it? Then we would get some logs of what is going on
I got the logs here and there is indeed a somewhat cryptical error that we will try to find the cause of
With your current simulator configuration, Navigraph Hub expects to find the Community and Official folders (where your add-on packages are installed) in F:\XboxGames. Is that where these folders reside and is this directory readable for all users?
Hi,
I havent had anything back from Navigraph for a while. It is very frustrating, given the cost of a yearly subscription, not being able to use it. Navigraph Hub is the only application or addon that has a problem locating and accessing my MSFS installation folder.
Sorry for the delay @Petercove, I am trying to get our internal systems to provide a more detailed log of what is going on which is also dependent on a 3rd party service.
Could you please post UserCfg.opt file so that I can have a look?
Which aircraft do you have in Community/ that supports update of AIRAC from us?
Hi Markus,
I have run the Navigraph exe file you just sent me.
I hope the attached files might help solve this problem. I am not a computer expert so I’m not sure. However my MSFS is located on my F drive. There are two folders on the drive that relate to MSFS. Firstly WpSystem. In here there is a folder that contains Community and Official folders, both empty.
Then there is XBoxGames. This contains the same 2 folders but populated with my add ons. I have included pictures that show these locations.
To answer your question about which of my addons in the community folder that uses the AIRAC the following use it:
PMDG 737 all models
Leonardo MD 82, 83 and 88.
Fenix Airbus 320.
Something strange is going on for sure… it looks as if it reads two different UserOpt.cfg:s, the one that you sent me which it’s correctly gets the F:/XboxGames from, but also a second one where there is no packages-path defined. Have you perhaps had a previous MSFS installed from Steam? I will prepare a new exe which logs where the second file is read from
Hi Markus
I have never used the Steam version of MSFS. I will do a search of all instances of usercfg.opt files on my PC and delete all but the one I sent you.
Hi Markus,
Good news. I think I have it up and running. My search found 4 different locations for usercfg.opt. I renamed all but one and ran Navigraph Hub. This gave me a screen as per my OUTSIDE picture. I couldnt do anything other than add the Fenix. I then renamed the file in WpSystems back to usercfg.opt and it worked. The proper Navigraph Hub appeared with options to update AIRAC where needed.
Thanks for the assistance. I think the issue was a wrong usercfg.file. What a tricky problem.
The last file in the list looks as it is in the location where Hub expects to find the simulator if it is installed from Steam. I think the path to the packages folder is missing in that file and that caused a non-expected state in the app. Tricky indeed but I am happy that it works now Thanks for your patience!
