Navigraph Charts and Move VR in X plane 11

Is there any plan to make Navigraph charts useable in X Plane 11 VR using Move VR rather than using AVITAB?

Hello Ian! Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for posting. Before I give you any suggestions, please outline the steps you’ve tried so far. Have you tried running the Charts Desktop application and including that? Or opening Charts cloud in a browser and then including the browser window?

Kind Regards,
Malte

Hi Malte,
Thank you for your reply. I have tried both the desktop application and the cloud version. The windows of both will open in X plane VR with Move VR but the windows are blank.
At the moment I can get the individual charts into a VR window but it is a very labour intensive method involving printing the charts from Navigraph to a PDF file which Move VR will open in X plane VR and can have multiple pages also with some of the PDF tools and manipulations available. However, there is obviously no connection to X Plane GPS position information for the charts and only the charts I have processed available.
I fly almost exclusively the Tornado. Obviously I could use Avitab but this is not as adaptable as Move VR with which I can have multiple windows spaced round the cockpit. For example I have Little Nav Map in one window. flight planning information, a kneepad checklist and a radio frequency card all open in other windows: and of course Navigraph in a window as I described above.
The ability to have the Navigraph application in a separate window would be the icing on the cake.

Hi Malte,
Subsequent to my last - by the simple expedient of switching hardware acceleration OFF in Google Chrome your cloud application works just fine with Move VR.
It is brilliant - all the usual function work including the link to the aircraft position information.
Many hours of experimentation paid off - others might benefit from the information - perhaps in your documentation.

Thank you so much for posting your progress! I am glad you found a solution, and I’m sure others will benefit from it as well. We don’t officially support third-party apps like these, so we have no real place to put this information. That said, this forum is open to the public and is being indexed by search engines, so I’m sure that anyone that has trouble setting this up will find your solution!

Perhaps we should start a thread with working VR solutions

Kind Regards,
Malte
