I have heard there may be a conflict with licensing between MSFS and Navigraph on importing Simbrief or Charts in future versions of MSFS. Not trying to inject any misinformation, just seeking a definitive answer.
Hi,
Currently Navigraph supports a wide range of third party aircraft in MSFS with navdata, charts and/or Simbrief integration - Fenix, JustFlight, Leonardo, PMDG, Aerosoft, FlyByWire, FlightFX, to name a few.
There is also the core navdata updates via the Navdata Center and the Charts In-game panel, which works with any aircraft in MSFS.
If you are referring to making Charts and SimBrief integration available in the avionics of default aircraft, that would require some sort of partnership between Microsoft and Navigraph. Right now such a partnership doesn’t exist, but maybe things will change sometime in the future.
Regardless we’ll continue to support pay-/freeware devs and modders with accessible APIs and SDKs for easy integration of Navigraph into their products in MSFS, as we’ve always done, and also continue developing our own offering inside the sim.
Kind regards,
Stephen
Thanks for the quick response. I do hope there is an agreement on the default aircraft in the future although there are a limited number of default aircraft that I use.
