Navigraph on MSFS 2024 for Xbox

New “surprise” for Xbox users from Microsoft, specifically those who pay for the Navigraph subscription

Navigraph is already integrated into MSFS2024… but only for PC users… Xbox customers have once again been ignored

We continue to pay the same price for the same product (MSFS2024)… but we only receive a simulator whose deep deficiencies have been progressively resolved only for PC users

I’m sure that the Navigraph team is trying in every way to solve that deep injustice on the part of Microsoft (Navigraph team have shown throughout history that they really value Xbox simmers) and I want, after thanking to @Ian and all wonderful team the fantastic work they do, when will the integration be available for Navigraph customers who fly on Xbox?

I know that the limited integration with MSFS2020 was thanks to the connection with the aircraft of several developer models that do respect Xbox simmers, but I hope that in the MSFS2024 the disrespect for Xbox users will not be repeated again… And no, I don’t want to use the badly poorly implemented native EFB of MSFS2024, I want to use the incredible product in which I trust and that’s why I pay with pleasure which is Navigraph/Simbrief

Hello, welcome back to our forum!

We understand your frustration, but your energy is unfortunately misguided in this case. We would love to release all of our products for Xbox! Some of them, such as our in-game panels for Charts and SimBrief and our avionics plugins, would work perfectly fine on Xbox - if we were allowed to publish them. The Xbox console is an incredibly locked-down and limited platform compared to a normal PC, which is why the marketplace is our only option.

You can see this explanation being mentioned in many topics in this forum. Here are a few:

To summarize: We have all kinds of integrations ready for Xbox as soon as Microsoft lets us publish them. We have asked them multiple times, both in person and through “official” channels, and we have been put on hold every time. One of our theories is that they do not have a good way to handle addons that are free to download but require a subscription to use…

However, the new simulator has a new marketplace that supposedly will support subscriptions! We will once again attempt to make our case for being included and are prepared to go a long way to make it happen!

Make no mistake - Navigraph has never intentionally ignored Xbox users, and we will continue to make every effort to bring as many of our products to Xbox as possible.

Kind Regards,
Malte

Thank you very much for such a clear answer @skysail

I know about the limitations (not technical but of policies) that Microsoft imposes preventing developers from offering their products and services to Xbox users (as I mentioned in my original post)

I have no doubt that the Navigraph team has done and will continue to do everything possible, let’s hope that this time Microsoft will allow Xbox users to have the same product as PC users

It is very important to know that Navigraph has made the developments for Xbox, but it has been Microsoft that has prevented us (the simmers) from accessing them

This post is a very valuable explanation (even more so coming from a developer as prestigious and valued by customers as Navigraph), because this argument supports my thesis that the problem is not in the hardware or software of the Xbox, but strictly in an inadmissible commercial decision of Microsoft

Thank you again and we continue in waiting pattern…
