In SimLink’s settings I have cleared the tick from Settings | Application | Start Simlink on system startup. I do not want the program continuously running, I want to start it manually.
However, whenever I update Symlink the installer ignores the setting (and consequently the user’s wishes) and configures Simlink to auto-run on login. I have to keep undoing the installers actions after every update.
Could the installer please honour the program’s configuration (during updates) when deciding whether to add the program to Windows’ auto-runs?
Alternatively, if you don’t want to script the reading of the configuration from the installer and just want a quick and dirty solution, then adding a checkbox to the installer to control whether the program is added to auto-runs would be a decent alternative.
