Ingame Panel reacts on clicks outside of the Panel

Hi, my ingame Panel reacts on clicks outside of the Panel Box like if I look on a ILS Chart and put things like the ILS freq. in my PMDG 737-800 the panel opens some Airway information and thats pretty annoying.

It’s done this for quite some time. You have to click outside of the panel a couple of times for it to stop happening.

Yeah, unfortunately this has been happening for a while now (since SU7 or something like that) and we do not know what is causing it or how to work around it.

Hello, it happens to me all the time that when I have the in-game panel open and want to enter things into the MCDU, things that are outside the window are constantly being clicked on. This is extremely annoying. It has now been almost half a year since this post was posted here. Are you still involved? Or are you already on some trail? I would be happy if this problem could be fixed soon. It’s been like this for ages. And like I said, it annoys me.

It should not be possible for this issue to occur in the first place. This is a technical issue in the simulator, which we do not have any power to change. Clicks outside of our panel should obviously not be handled by our panel. It’s not all clicks either, only in certain areas as far as I know.

This is an inconvenience for sure, I get it now and then too! We are not currently investigating this issue, since every investigation we have done has concluded that this should not be happening…

That said, I can add yet another investigation to our backlog so that we can make another revisit now that 6 months have passed. We currently do not have available resources for this, but we’ll get there eventually! We are currently focusing on developing new features that will apply to all platforms.

A quick update:

We have made another investigation, and it seems like this is indeed an issue in the simulator which is not easily worked around. It is not impossible though, so we will spend some more time trying to mitigate the issue as soon as we can, based on available resources. I can’t give any ETAs on this, unfortunately.

After interacting with the panel, the first click outside of it will still be sent to the panel for some reason. After this, the simulator correctly stops sending events to the panel when you click outside of it.

Our plan is to try and find a way to ignore these incorrect events completely, but we are not sure how we’re going to do that just yet.
