Impossible to update pmdg 777 to the new airac 2513

Hello,

I am encountering an issue when attempting to update to the latest version of Navigraph airac (cycle 2513) using the button available on the tablet in each of the FS2024 PMDG 777 variants. The progress bar reaches 80% and then stops. This bug is very similar to a bug in 2024 concerning the 777 on FS2020… which was due, if I remember correctly, to a certificate error…

The AIRAC update works correctly with the PMDG 737 and FS2020 PMDG aircraft.

Thank you in advance for addressing this issue.
Best regards,

Philippe

Hello,

Thank you very much for your quick response!

Yes, I do have the latest version (2.04.130) of the 777 on FS2024. PMDG has since given me a solution: delete the old airac files in two locations for each aircraft and update via the tablet, which works!

As for the update via Navigraph Hub, I read on a PMDG forum (if I remember correctly) that the updated data had become obsolete for the PMDG 777… do you have any idea about this? I also asked PMDG about it.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Best regards,
Philippe

I would not say “obsolete,” but the preferred/recommended way to update the FMCs is directly from the device, yes. The Hub files are 1:1 the same as the files when you do the update via FMC. I would say that the Hub installation serves as a kind of backup for PC users (not for Xbox users, because you can´t run the Hub on Xbox).

Have a great day too, and thank you for the update!

Cheers
Richard

It might help others if you post a link to the relevant topic on the PMDG forum featuring the locations of the files that need to be deleted.

Tim

Thank you for your helpful suggestion! However, I can’t post a link because this is a ticket and not a forum, and there would be access issues… at least, I think so.

Nevertheless, I will explain below what was proposed by PMDG and worked for me.
I have the FS2024 Store installation. I imagine it can be adapted to the Steam installation, but how?

I’ll use the PMDG 777-300ER as an example (this applies similarly to other versions of the PMDG 777)

  • Open your Community folder

  • Delete the contents of the following folder (not the folder itself, which must remain empty): YourCommunityFolder\pmdg-aircraft-77er\Config\NavData

  • Open your AppData folder

  • Delete the contents of the following folder (not the folder itself, which must remain empty), if it exists: YourAppDataFolder\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS 2024\pmdg-aircraft-77er\NavigationData

  • Perform the update via the tablet.

I hope this works for you too!

Hi

Unfortunately Im on Xbox and Im dealing with this same issue. Is there a workaround or does pmdg know about this? It seems to be happening with the ini a350 as well.
