How to show TOD in Navigraph Chart

Hi Everyone

I’m just trying to get my head around all of this and I am slowly getting there. I have created a Flight Plan in Simbrief and it shows my TOD as a waypoint which is marked in the log and on the map. However, when I import it into Navigraph the TOD waypoint doesn’t show up. Is there a way to add it in or am I missing something fundamental !

Hi Matthew,

The Simbrief TOD isn’t brought across into Charts. Most times TOD is calculated in the FMC.

I prefer the rules of thumb for jets - start descent at least 3 nm per thousand feet of descent before landing. So for 30,000 feet, start descent about 90 nm out.

Alternately use 2 minutes per 1000 feet. So for 30,000 feet , start descent about 60 minutes out.
