How to disable FSX

In the past, I used the FSX simulator via STEAM. Today, I only have MSFS2020. However, whenever I launch SIMLINK, I receive an error message even when I delete the path in the settings, it is recreated automaticaly again. How to fix it?

Hi,

If you are experiencing issues with Simlink detecting FSX, it may be due to leftover files or registry entries from an incomplete FSX uninstallation. To resolve this, please follow the steps below to clear any FSX details:

  1. Open the Windows Registry Editor by pressing Win + R, typing regedit, and hitting Enter.
  2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry folder and delete it:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 314160
  3. Ensure you delete the Steam App 314160 registry entry.
  4. Next, clean up Simlink’s association with FSX.
  5. If Simlink is running, please stop the application.
  6. Open the Simlink configuration folder located at %APPDATA%/Navigraph/Simlink.
  7. Delete the .mapping and .path files.
  8. Start the Simlink application again.
  9. You’re done!

Hello

Thank you about yours answer, but I found only Steam App 1250410

The full path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 1250410

The registry folder App 314160 was not found.

Thank you.
