Quick question about the cargo calculation within simbrief. If you select a plane that is setup to hold passengers, and instead of leaving the freight on none, you put it to auto, how does SimBrief decide how much extra cargo will be loaded on top of passenger bags (pax * pax bag weight)?
Hello, this is in the aircraft settings. You can edit the aircraft profile for bag weight. What it will do is calculate pax count X (bag weight) then add cargo on top of that until it hits or comes close to ZFW. Hope that helps.
I know that. But I’m wondering how does SimBrief decide how much extra cargo weight to put on top of the pax bag weight. I feel like it doesn’t put enough most of the time.
It takes priority for FUEL, PAX, BAGS, then Cargo. You can always change the amount of cargo as well. It tends to get close to your MLW.
