The departures are listed by text but not displayed graphically.
Arrivals are not offered at all.
Hello! Thanks for reaching out!
The reason why you are not seeing any departures in this case is because there are no departures that connect to your chosen runway. If you look through the charts, none of the SIDs start from 32L. This means that the list shown in screenshot #2 only contains “Other departures” - procedures that do not technically fit your route. Usually, we don’t show these on the map to reduce clutter.
We shall consider this specific case and decide whether changing this behavior would be a good idea. Thank you for the feedback.
Please elaborate: In this case, you won’t see any arrivals for LEMD in the menu because it is listed as your origin airport, from which you will only depart. If you wish to display arrivals, you can do one of the following:
- Add it as your destination too
- Open up the airport details (the “Info button” next to the charts button, then press “Open Airport”) and view all procedures from there
Kind Regards,
Malte
LEMD takeoff runways are 36L/R and 14L/R
Landing 18L/R and 32L/R
Hi Malte,
that was my mistake.
To recognize which runways are for departure and arrival only, which is probably wind direction dependent, you probably have to listen to ATIS first.
But since I create a flight plan in Navigraph before I start the sim, it would make sense that this is somehow marked in Navigraph.
OK, I now know why this happened. That’s a good thing, so I wouldn’t change it if I were you.
But a label would be nice.
Point2: A spelling mistake. I wanted to show with the screenshots that for LEMD 58 departures are displayed via text. However, the departures do not appear here as graphics directly on the map as usual.
With kind regards
Kurt
Correction:
I understand that no Departure is shown in the graphic.
In order to avoid mistakes, it would be sensible and logical if no text view of the departures were displayed, as there would be none for the runway.
The list is supposed to show departure alternatives, including ones that do not fit your route! However, it is also supposed to be smart about this by highlighting those that best match your scenario.
In this case, you can still select any of the “Other departures” - the app will automatically change to a compatible runway for you if you do so!
As mentioned, we shall consider making this more clear in some way.
Kind Regards,
Malte
