The simbrief is working correctly, but the downloader is getting stuck on startup and giving no response.
No error message iappears.
I have the same problem. And any action in SimBrief lasts longer than ever…
Hi…,
Welcome.
Whilst SimBrief may not be advising of successful downloads, are they in fact occurring? You can tell by navigating to the relevant download folder and seeing if the flight plan has been downloaded.
Cheers
Ian
Sorry, problem is solved. The Download on my client pc got stuck caused after an update of Win11 24h2. The static ip address of the pc was changed back to DHCP. Therefore not connecting to the related FS pc.
Thanks for your assistance!
Kindest regards,
Fred
Hello, I am facing a similar problem. Yesterday everything was working OK with Simbrief able to generate the OFP and within a matter of 2-3 secs the map had appeared and then the Simbrief downloader started and gave me a prompt to download all files. No problem.
Today it was a different story with a repetition of a problem I saw a couple of months ago where the OFP was generated in Simbrief, then there was a long pause for the map to be drawn and then the downloader did not start or prompt for the download. I checked the Simbrief downloader app from the systray and it was up and running but there was no download file in the flight plans folder. I had to use the manual download from Simbrief to obtain the .pdf and .pln files which worked. However having taken off and 10 mins into the flight I finally got the new Simbrief window indicating the download files were able to be saved.
So in principle it worked, but why is it taking such a long time for Simbrief to prepare the plans for auto download and why is it intermittent in nature?
Thx!
Hi, likely a network issue between your ISP and our server (unfortunately out of our control). But your ISP may be able to investigate and identify the slowdown from their end.
This may also just sort itself out on its own in a few days.
You can try generating flight plans with the “Flight Maps” option set to “None” to reduce the download size of the flight plan data, which might help speed it up in the mean time.
Best regards,
