Decommissioned VOR Argentina

Coming from another user on the XP gateway. In addition, I also see another one that is not in use anymore.

Identifiers: ITA and MTQ

Missing from enroute list of navaids in AIP. From google: 14 avr. 2005 — (Bolivia) and CERES (Argentina), and the elimination of route UB 686. … Due to the future dismantling of the Monte Quemado VOR, it is proposed …

Hi,
I can confirm that the ITA & MTA navaids are no longer available (at least according to the AIP Argentina).

Thank you very much. We will report this to our service provider and ask them to remove it in one of the upcoming AIRAC cycles.

Cheers,
Richard

This problem is not only a problem in Argentina.
The commissioning of new navaids is usually done accurately by your provider (Jeppesen) except for those that are not international based (a lot in Russia and China and a few other countries as well). On the contrary, the decommissioning of many navaids is sometimes delayed or not done at all. I’m not sure the reason for this (lack of an adequate interaction between country authorities and the provider, inaccuracy of country AIPs, etc). Nobody usually cares about decommissioned navaids that remain in the database. None of them are used in airway definitions, departure/arrival/approach procedures :-). For aesthetics only

Cheers
