CJ4 Climb performance and fuel bias

Hello,

I’ve noticed that in the MCR profile for the CJ4 in it’s current version, the jet in SIM burns consistently 45kg too much fuel in the climb phase as compared to the simbrief predictions. I typically reach TOC around 10-20nm later than anticipated by the OFP at fuel around 40-50kg less than planned (40 on short climb to a low cruise altitude in the low 300s, 50 when I go all the way up to FL450).

Could you tweak the profile a little bit so that the calculation is more accurate? The whole cruise portion is right on target, so changing the general fuel bias is not really a viable solution here, since that would maybe fix the climb portion, but then mess up the whole 2 hour cruise fuel predictions…

Thanks, kind regards

Simbrief uses real-world data whenever available. The CJ4 profile is marked as having “high” accuracy and presumably does use real-world data behind the scenes:

Thus it’s most likely the MSFS CJ4 that’s slightly inaccurate relative to the real aircraft, not SimBrief.

Regards,

Tim

That’s awesome!

However, I’m not using simbrief to fly my real CJ4, but the one in MSFS, so I kinda think it would be more sensible to be able to adapt the calculations to the simulator aircraft, not the other way around

At least I think that would be the easier way compared to trying to get Asobo to change the CLB power fuel flow on their CJ4 model.
