You are comparing a static map (FAA enroute chart) to a data-driven one.
A static map is just one big image that has been hand-crafted. Hence labels are always shown (sometimes placed far away from its object) and also enlarge while zooming in, just like a photo.
The Navigraph map is rendered dynamically. Hence all the label sizes remain constant (but can be changed in Settings). Also due to space constraints, some labels need to be prioritized and some suppressed. We will tweak these prioritizes but we can’t show everything at once. You should compare our app to other dynamic rendering apps like Foreflight, Skydemon or professional EFBs from Jeppesen or Lufthansa.
Nevertheless, all items in the map can be clicked and in this way you can identify any object even though the label is hidden on that zoom level.
Hope this sheds some light on this. Our app is up to ”normal standards” (or beyond).
Kind regards,
Stephen
