ACARS connection

Hello, I have been using SIMBRIEF forever; it is perfect, but there is still a problem.

I have never managed when crossing Atlantic - but this is just one exemple - my A320 Neo Toliss ACARS , on the FIRs listed on SIMBRIEF OFPs.

It’s not my SIMBRIEF/ACARS problem which gives me access to WX without problem). Of course I’m holding HOPPIE logon.

Can anybody tell me what you I think that I must do so that I can connect my ACARS to any FIR of SimBrief OFPs.

The list of FIRs online that appears on the HOPPIE site is pathetically unusable in this respect whether with VATSIM (I have logon of course) or ICAO

There are for exemple no London, New York or Paris FIR, whatever the time of day, day of the month or month of the year is. So let’s not even talk about Shanwick Oceanic or Gander.

Hi, SimBrief is completely unrelated to any online networks or FIRs you might connect to during your flight. The FIRs on the SimBrief flight plan are just an indication of which real-world FIRs you will fly through, not that they are online or will be available in the sim.

If you are using an online network (such as VATSIM or IVAO), you can see which FIRs are online in real time on a website such as https://vatsim-radar.com. If you see an FIR that is online while you are in their airspace, you may be able to contact them through ACARS, but it depends on the controller online if they want to use this not.

I have never used ACARS in the sim and am not familiar with how it works unfortunately. I’d recommend either reaching out on the VATSIM or IVAO forums/support portal, or if your aircraft has a built-in ACARS feature, perhaps also reaching out to the developer or checking the aircraft’s user guide.

Best regards,
