757/767 Performance

Two requests regarding the 757 and 767 performance calculations:

  1. For Flightfactor specifically, there isn’t an option to use fixed derates, only SEL TEMP, could there be an option to disable D-TO1 and D-TO2 within the TLR? The fixed derates invalidate TLR Data due to the missmatch.
  2. The 757/767 use flap retraction speeds which are based on VREF 30 which is already provided.
For takeoff in the 757 Bug speeds are:

FLAP 15/20 Takeoff:
VREF30 +20 = Flap 5
VREF30 +40 = Flap 1
VREF30 +60 = UP

FLAP 5 Takeoff:
VREF30 +40 = Flap 1
VREF30 +60 = UP

FLAP 1 Takeoff:
VREF30 +60 = UP

And the 767 uses the same speeds with the exception of Flap 1.

It would be super handy if those speeds just got stapled to the bottom of the takeoff performance output

  1. You can force TO thrust without disabling assumed temperatures, the parameter is called “Thrust Setting”:

Can’t help with #2

I’m aware of that feature, however that does not affect the TLR. Ideally fixed derates would be editable within airframe options.

Thanks, I’ll look into adding an option to disable fixed derates in a future update.

Best regards,

the 757 and 767 from flight factor do have fixed derates they are accessed by pressing the 1 or 2 on the tmp besides the eicas. I use them every flight performance allowing

I went back and checked the TMP after I made the original post, technically it does, but it is incapable of Fixed Derate + Assumed Temp. The Simbrief provided TLR for my most recent flight calls for: D-TO2 SEL TEMP 45C, which is impossible to achieve in the FF 75/76.
Perhaps for the sake of simplicity I was just focusing on the lack of Derate+Flex, but to be fair you can do a fixed derate.
No idea how the real bird does it, however it may be a Pegasus/PIP option.

Thanks! Any chance of getting flap retraction speeds on the Takeoff Data Output?
Seems as though it would be a simple task as it’s directly correlated to VREF30 which is already provided.

I use fixed derate and assumed temperature together. You have to pre select your fixed derate (either the number 1 or 2) then enter the assumed temperature, I have no problem utilizing both.

Aren’t the buttons CLB 1 and CLB 2 though, rather than D-TO?

Tim

It works for both. If you were to just select 1 or 2 it will pre assign that derate to both takeoff and climb thrust, if you were to select clb then 1 or 2 it would actually pre select climb 1 or 2. To reset it you’d hit the toga button and then 1 or 2. If you want to use an assumed temperature and derate all you must do is load into the aircraft and get all the electronics on, and then get your performance numbers select the 1 or 2 (depending on the calculations) and then when you’re on the takeoff page you can enter the assumed temp and it will apply it to the derate further reducing the takeoff thrust. It should also pre select the specified climb as well so for to1 it would be clb 1 and takeoff 2 clb 2. I hope that clears it up a little
