Hi, I hope this is the correct section to make a request… I was wondering if Derated Takeoffs (flex temperature) can be enabled and calculated for the JustFlight Avro RJ. Currently the takeoff performance for this aircraft only calculates Max TOGA (Flex Temp selection is not available).
Hi, the reason we didn’t add it initially is it appears you might need to look up the resulting N1% from the tables when using Flex? Since SimBrief doesn’t know or display the actual N1%, it seemed a bit pointless to calculate a flex value since most users probably wouldn’t know how to properly use it.
I haven’t tried the Avro RJs myself however. Does the FMC auto-calculate the N1% by simply entering an assumed temperature somewhere? Is this the same for the BAe 146 as well, or is it unique to the Avro RJs?
If it’s possible to simply enter the assumed temperature somewhere in the FMC or cockpit we can possibly enable Flex calculations in SimBrief.
Hi, thanks for replying, I don’t know about the 146 but on the Avro RJ there is a Thrust Rating Panel. A temperature can be set, and then the panel shows the calculated N1.
If you look at the Just Flight manual for the RJ professional on their website, there is a page for Thrust Rating Panel (TRP).
