Why cant I cancel my subscription

I dont need a monthly subscription. I only want to refresh my FMS data pereodically but when I try to cancel my subscription it says OK but then reinstalls it again. Why on earth dont you add a “THIS PERIOD ONLY” option so we dont have to go through this rigmarole.
