I am pretty sure I saw a vertical profile after the route was created, but I could not see it anymore. What is the procedure to see it? I am almost sure it took one click in an icon but unfortunately, I did not make a note at that time.

Vertical profiles are a Wishlist item at Vertical profiles. Please add your vote there to encourage this to be developed.
