Too many DCT's in Simbrief

Simbrief is a great planner, but I notice now that the flight plans being generated, produce so many DCT’s and do not use Airways.
I remember reading somewhere that DCT’s were being introduced but I would not have thought so many.

My current flight plan from EHAM to LGAV -

EHAM/24 RENDI2S EDUPO Z739 MISGO DCT COL DCT TUSUK DCT BATUB DCT
TIRUL M738 NATAG DCT BORMI DCT ERITU DCT LATAN UM872 ENESI UN604 ARA
UB34 NEMES NEMES2C LGAV/03R

Would this plan be approved by Eurocontrol?

Thanks
Don

There is no issue with the route Don ( it does validate ), it utilizes Free Route Airspace directs that are replacing airways within the EuroControl zone.

Thanks srcooke,

It may validate in Simbrief but I understand it does not take into account directional airways. Unless Navigraph has corrected that.

Don

Hi Don, I think srcooke meant that he validated the route with Eurocontrol. I just validated it using Eurocontrol’s IFPUV as well and it is 100% valid.

Best regards,

Thank you SimBrief. It just looks odd seeing now, so many DCTs and not Airways.
