why is simbrief giving me this default flight that makes no sense for appraoch to rwy 26?
I always choose from other available plans but I was wondering if there is a reason it is defaulting ot this strange route

The routing is realworld and likely used the RNP-Z 08 AR approach, alternatively Simbrief is assigning a STAR as RTT1B serves all runways and is a legitimate approach.
At a guess you wish to join the approach at RTT, quite simply remove the STAR from the plan to terminate the route at RTT rather than ELMEM. This would still be a valid alternative.
yes great route for rwy 8, but why give it when I am landing on 26, it is chosen in runway selection option
RTT1B also supports landing rwy26.
looking ar the chart i don’t see how? starts at RTT end in ELMEM
It’s valid for runway 26 in the navdata… if you look at charts it doesn’t make much sense, but Simbrief is software, thus data-driven.

RNPZ 08 with circle to land 26.
That can work too, good point ![]()

yeah the only one still makes 0 sense and I really doubt it anyone would ever use this as circle to land part is visual afaik so not even bad weather excuse to use RMPZ08 instead of one of the 3 others available that actually make sense for 26 coming from east and give various approaches for 26 from RTT so unless airline wants to burn fuel i see very little reason to ever take that route to land on 26..
The way i see it as Tim is just software driven sure valid as data but pointless and makes no sense, not a problem I just ignore it and choose one that makes sense
yes that makes most sense just data driven not very sensible or useful route for any good reason (when intending to land on 26) other then burn extra fuel even if you you consider the circle to land 26 why would you… ti burn extra fuel or fun ![]()
