Is there a way to start your flight at the gates after creating a FP within Navigraph. all I see is starting at a particular runway. Checking if starting at the gate was possible.

I’m afraid this has nothing to do with our navigation data. You can select a starting gate from the dropdown pictured below, given that the airport in question is big enough to have gates:
