Simlink Identifies Prepar3D

Hi,

I don’t have this simulator anymore and I think I cleaned each and every remaining of it including Registry, still Simlink see something …

Can you tell what it is looking for so I’ll know to remove it as well ?

Thanks,
Doron.

Hi Doron,

In Navigraph Simlink Plugin Settings, you should be able to choose Uninstall Simlink for any FS you don’t want.

Cheers
Ian

Hi, this wasn’t my question.

why Simlink thinks I have it installed in the first place ?

when I choose “Scan & Install” , what makes it think I have this simulator installed ?

Hi,

When you install SImulator, it creates some file or creates a registry entry on the local place of the system.
Which files and which registry is created, it’s different from different Simulators.
For P3D, it creates information on different locations as per the P3D version.

So, can you please let us know which Simulator you want to clean up?

HI,

It’s quite some technical things that need to do, I think you didn’t uninstall SImulator but uninstaller of Simulator. It looks like manually removing Simulator from the installed path.

Before removing below registry information, please close all running Simulator and Simlink applications.
Here is some registry you need to remove from your system, (This registry automatically remove if the Simulator uninstaller is used),

  1. FSX → Remove HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\WOW6432Node\\Microsoft\\Microsoft Games\\Flight Simulator\\10.0
  2. P3D → Remove HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\WOW6432Node\\LockheedMartin\\Prepar3D
  3. P3D (Version 2/3) → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\WOW6432Node\\Lockheed Martin\\Prepar3D v<VERSION NUMBER>
  4. P3D v4 → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Lockheed Martin\\Prepar3D v4
  5. Delete the file .mapping from the Simlink configuration folder %APPDATA%/Navigraph/Simlink

Now, start the SImlink application and reinstall SImlink Plugins.

Please let us know if you face any issues.
