I am unable to use the Route Finder tab as I keep getting the same error message “Error: Request timed out!” Any ideas of what would be causing this?
Hi, unfortunately SimBrief’s route finder has this issue for some airport pairs.
The route finder would need to be completely rebuilt from scratch to fix this, but I have no estimate on when this might get done. It isn’t currently in the short term roadmap.
Normally it’s easiest to look through SimBrief’s suggested routes too see if one of those meets your needs. If not, and if the SimBrief manual route finder returns an error, you could also try using the route finder in Navigraph Charts (which is much more reliable). Alternative route finding services include https://www.autorouter.aero, http://rfinder.asalink.net/free, https://grd.aero-nav.com and https://edi-gla.co.uk.

Hi there,
I haven’t used simbrief in a while and I ran into this error most of the time I try to use the find route option, no matter the route pair or aircraft I use. From what remember, this didn’t happen before and used simbrief a lot…
Any updates or ideas on this?

I am glad I checked the forum today and seen this topic.
Has there been any update to the route finder?
I was trying to pair EDGS with LICJ and all I got was “Error: Request timed out!”
As you can imagine this is very frustrating and sort of ruined my flight as I wanted to fly out of this particular airport.
