Payload/Cargo limited by MZFW

I’m wondering why I’m getting this message because this is a short flight and I don’t see anything that could cause an overweight issue.

Hi, the length of the flight makes no difference in this case. The limiting factor is the aircraft’s Maximum Zero Fuel Weight (MZFW).

Trying to fit 170 passengers (at 175 lbs each), plus 1 bag per passenger (at 55 lbs each), results in a target payload of 39,100 lbs. The difference between the MZFW and the aircraft’s empty weight (OEW) leaves only room for 37,677 lbs of payload, so the message is just letting you know that the payload has been limited slightly.

It isn’t really an “error”, it’s just letting you know that some of the payload had to be reduced. SimBrief is quite generous when adding baggage for passengers, so if you’d like, you can also edit/reduce the amount of baggage it adds per passenger in the custom airframe settings.

Best regards,
