Hello there Navigraph team. I hope you are all well.
I´ve been taking a look at OKKK (Kuwait) problems report on this forum and it looks like there is a bunch of reports for this airport. After some research it is still not clear form me: I have a custon OKKK airport intalled on my MSFS2020, on departure airport selection inside the sim I find the corret and new ICAO code OKKK… however on the Prosim 737 2508 database when I type in the OKKK code it says on the scratchpad NOT IN DATABASE, but it recongnizes the old OKBK code. I can live with that, however there are no airport data in database at all, not even the runways, noneless to say regarding SIDs, STARs and APCHs. Is it just me, or is it still an unsolved problem with OKKK airport?
Hi,
We don’t offer the old ICAO code for Kuwait, nor is it in the ProSim dataset. So, there must be an issue with ProSim. Please report this to ProSim.
Hi, Richard. Thank you so much for your fast reply and attention, even during a Sunday. This make me fell I am investing in a very well deserved company, truly.
Do not get me wrong, please. I am just trying to figure out, how come an old code (OKBK) could even be accpeted by de fmc, if it is using the latest (and the only one) databse which is the navigraph one, with a non in database code? If OKKK would had no data in it at all, would be understandable, but how is that possible qith a code which is not in the dataset as you stated?
Hi Luciano,
Sorry, I can’t answer this question, but I remember that ProSim uses the scenery data from the sim, too, but I can be wrong.
I can only check our data source and the ProSim database, which we offer and which you have on your system, and we don’t have this old airport ICAO code. Nowhere, also not in the charts, which are based exactly on the same data:
I would help you more when I could, but I assume a more professional and really correct answer will get you from ProSim. I’m 100% sure that this is not a navdata issue.
Cheers
Richard
PS: Thank you very, very much for your kind words. It’s not only me, it’s the whole team that makes all these possible
I dully undestood. I had no doubt when you said it is not a Navigraph issue. On my charts app, it shows OKKK. For some reason on my ProSim Instructor Station shows OKBK. I was just trying to put the pieces togheter and figure out what is going on.
