I understand that Simbrief is focused towards airliner routes, but I am a flight student and I want to practice IFR planning in a Cessna 172. I have had lots of issues finding routes from smaller airports and even routes from larger airports to smaller airports. I am by no means an expert in flight planning. I have a lot to learn, and maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong here.
I mainly purchased the Simbrief sub for the flight plans needed for Beyond ATC. My problem is that most of the time Simbrief wont find me SIDS or STARs that will work for a small GA plane. In the picture above I tried the route finder option. Altitude 10K, with a Cessna 172 from KDEN to KFNL. Using the VOR route finder it only found me 1 at BJC. I know there are other VORs around like DEN, DVV and GLL. It only found me this one route to BJC which is well out of my way. I tried the other option with can use any points or vors, and it found me nothing…
How do I use Simbrief for SIDS and STARs that are allowed for GA or prop planes, and also how do I get it to give me routes that Beyond ATC can use? Shouldnt Simbrief recognize my aircraft and altitude and design me a route using VORs, and Waypoints that a GA aircraft can use? I am really confused here.
