No notifications of new updates

Navigation Data FMS Data Manager

Hi My Data manager is running fine and I can go in and update the various addons but it never notifies me when there are updates available. I have the settings set correctly, and the “agent” is set to run as administrator, but I have to manually check if there are new updates.

It is on a desktop PC running
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎18/‎06/‎2020
OS build 19042.804
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

Seriously no response from Navigraph at all? and yet other posts since mine have been answered.
If it’s in the wrong place let me know and I’ll move it.
If you have no answer then tell me that and I’ll wait until you do have one, but to not even acknowledge the question!

Hi Brian,

Welcome and sorry for the delay.

Yes, you should be notified of new version of FMS Data Manager as well as new AIRAC.

Lets start afresh.

Please disable any Antivirus and firewall.

If you have backups of previous AIRACs you wish to keep, backup c:\ProgramData\Navigraph\FMSClient\backup

Use Windows to uninstall FMS Data Manager. Specifically:

  1. Press Start and open Apps & Features.
  2. On the right hand side, open Programs and Features.
  3. Find Navigraph FMS Data Manager in the list, select it, and press the Uninstall button above.

If they exist, delete folders:
c:\ProgramData\Navigraph\FMSClient and c:\Program Files (x86)\Navigraph\FMS Data Manager.

Download and install latest FMS Data Manager .

Thanks Ian,
I’ve done that now. The version of the manager i had installed was 1.8.4 so I am at least now running on the latest manager. I’ll keep an eye on it and see if I get any notificatons.

Hi All well no notification today of the update to 2103 so I guess it’s still not working

Hi Brian,

We are working on enhancements to FMS Data Manager, which should address this issue which affects a few users.

Please confirm you received the Navigraph Newsletter advising of the 2103 cycle release.

Also, if you use an electronic calendar, you might like to set an AIRAC Release reminder commencing 25 Mar 21 and repeating every 4 weeks.
