Hi, the new charts version is excellent, thx. However, the old issue has crept back in regarding zoom:- if you set a zoom for a chart on your pinboard so that you can read it, if you exit that chart then return to that chart, it reverts to a default zoom, so you have to set the zoom again.
May seem like a small issue, but when you are flicking a lot between charts, it is a huge pain and crucially causes delays when you are under high workload. I hope this can be resolved in the same way as the old version
This issue seems to have crept back in, summary as follows: when you select a chart (“1st Chart”) and adjust it’s zoom, then go to another chart and then come back to 1st Chart, in the majority of cases it has not retained the zoom you originally set. It is frustrating because you cannot then rely on having your charts all ready in sequence at crucial times, you have to adjust the zoom again and again.
It seems if you go to another chart and revert to 1st Chart and adjust zoom several times in sequence, eventually it does retain, but there doesn’t seem to be a sure method and it’s a bit hit and miss.
The fix has been determined and will be in the next Charts release. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hi Ian, is there a rough date for the next release? I tried looking under Releases but I could not find that info. Just to get an idea of when this may come through. I am currently on 8.43.1 Build db95b8a
Hi Ian, sorry to chase, you mentioned on May 9th that this would be resolved in the next Charts release and we are now 2 months later, is there any idea of time for this release please?
As mentioned, it is an awful user experience, as you have to keep resetting the zoom when you view a chart, although it does seem to stick after several tries
Many thanks Ian! I have just downloaded Navigraph charts 8.44.0 onto my cellphone’s Android and no it definitely isn’t working there. I opened the 1st pinned chart and changed its zoom, went to a 2nd pinned chart and changed its zoom, went back to the 1st chart and the zoom had gone, went to the 2nd chart and zoom was gone.
But if you do this loop again a 2nd time, the zoom does seem to stick eventually…but that is a big loss of time when you are flying
Thanks Ian, as soon as there is some news on this, pls let me know.
It is a very frustrating issue, and it just takes up a good deal of unnecessary time, as any change you make to zoom on any chart, you have to keep resettting it as it is not retained. Only after a few repeats, does it seem to hold, clearly an awful user experience when you are trying to focus on flying.
