Why can’t we download the current version of Navigraph Charts (8.32.0) to Android tablets?
The latest version (8.32.0) has not been released for either iOS or Android yet (as seen in the changelog). The reason for this decision might not be too obvious, so I understand that you have this question!
The reason behind it is that the update was more or less only published because it contained some important fixes for web/desktop users, while fewer of the new changes affected the native iOS and Android platforms.
Every update we release for the native apps requires us to go through a review by Google and Apple, which means that the friction of releasing updates becomes a lot higher compared to our own release process for the web or desktop version. This ultimately resulted in us deciding to skip the native release this time, and instead focus on our work with the new annotations feature as well as improving the performance on Android.
Is there something in particular with this recent update that you were looking forward to?
