MY PMDG77W PMDG737 FENIX320 can't request data from simbrief !!!

I am a Chinese MSFS player.

Recently(since about 5 days ago),my PMDG77W PMDG737 FENIX320 in MSFS can not request data from simbrief at all

Include OFP,weather,NOTAM…

The EFB just could not receive any data as the following images

In fenix320,the efb keeps on loading for a long time but receive nothing

In PMDG737,you can watch the video to see the reaction after I click the “request data from simbrief” ang no matter how many times I click it,it react like that again and again…

I have checked the EFB settings to ensure it’s correct and as you can see the simbrief alias is right.

I tried on charts.navigraph.com and the app Charts ,to import flights from simbrief and it did work. So I don’t think it’s my network connect issue.
I asked some of my Chinese friends if they met the issue, and suprisingly many of them did!
But most of them said that it worked after a few times retry while this solution didn’t work on my MSFS
These days I have spent lots of time on it,I retry and retry and retry… but in vain.
It have wasted 5 days of my Navigraph subscription…

Someone told me that maybe I was blocked by simbrief. What should I do…

Could be, but it´s not SimBrief which is blocking you - it´s your system or your ISP which possible blocks the SimBrief IP. Contact your ISP and let them check, if they can open the IP/IP range …
That would also explain, why it´s working at your friends …

Also, you can made a short/first test - open a command-window and type:
ping simbrief.com … and/or ping 192.95.16.233

Both should return a reply. When not, it´s blocked by your system or your ISP.

Cheers
Richard

PS: this test is only for SimBrief, the 3rd party addons use API´s for the communication - so when this IP returns a reply it doesn´t mean, all is good - it´s only a first/fast test … you should really ask your ISP to check the communication protocol

It did reply

… yeah but you see, when you ping the IP address the “request time out”? That´s one indicator, that something is too slow. I would really recommend to contact your ISP too look deeper into it.

Cheers,
Richard

Well,there is something interesting now.
It suddenly occurred to me that maybe I should change another WIFI connection. So I tried my smart phone hotspot. this time it does work. Both PMDG and fenix can request data from simbrief appropriately.
However, when I checked the ping as you just mentioned. I found it was even slower than my original Wi-Fi.

In a way, it did solve my problem by changing Wi-Fi.
Thank you anyway

Thanks for the update … but now you know, it´s an issue on your internet with your ISP or your system itself. Good catch!

Thank you,
Richard
