Since the last Simlink update, Prepar3D crashes intermittently and under irregular circumstances. Normal operation is only possible after disabling the plugin.
A fresh installation does not solve the problem.

Hi Vishal,
I run a full cockpit setup with three computers. There’s neither a firewall nor antivirus software. Therefore, point 1 is irrelevant.
I maintain a changelog where every change, whether installation or configuration, is documented with the date. So I can trace exactly what was changed last if something isn’t working.
Regarding point 2, I’ve had the same settings for three years; nothing has been changed. Therefore, point 2 doesn’t apply.
Point 3 was already taken care of; after uninstalling Simlink, I deleted the Navigraph folder under appdata.
As for point 4, the plugin folder is correct. I only have Prepar3D v5 installed and no other entries in the registry.
I’ve already spent several days trying to find the problem. My simulator works when I disable Simlink.
I would also be happy if I could get the previous version of Simlink back, as everything worked fine with that version. That would be really kind of you and would solve my problem.
Just as a side note, I work for the German government as an IT professional and understand the technology very well, not to mention that I’ve been working with the simulator for over 30 years.
Best Regards
Dieter
Hello,
Thank you for providing the check results. The log files you sent appeared to have some corrupted data at the end, which may have compromised the Simlink configuration file. However, since you have already performed the Simlink configuration cleanup and checked all the necessary points, that should be fine.
For further assistance, could you please send us the Windows Error log related to the P3D CTD issue? Additionally, please provide your system configuration and let us know whether P3D is installed on your system drive or an external drive.
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Vishal Ahir
