After generating several flight plans in SimBrief (both within the Dispatch app itself or within a web browser and then viewing it on the Dispatch app) the “Import Route” button appears to have no impact on the Planner app within the EFB. Neither departure nor arrival airport populates, along with no procedures or en route waypoints. I have tried several different flights with different aircraft, and I even tried “seeding” the Planner by providing the correct departure airport first, but no change. Here’s an example route that was attempted:
Indeed not. That is an old issue that should have been fixed before Christmas! It is caused by the SimBrief app running an old version of the EFB SDK, which we have to manually update whenever Asobo releases a new version
I will look further into this, but you seem to be on an old build somehow. Please try this one out:
No worries! I have looked into this a bit further, and everything looks correct on our side. I downloaded the package from the SimBrief website and checked the code - there is no trace of what you see in that screenshot.
My main suspicion is that you have two instances of the SimBrief app somehow - one older and one latest version. Please clear out any previously installed version and install only the latest version and you should be good!
Maybe you have moved your community folder and are placing the downloaded version in the wrong location?
Can almost guarantee the issue was duplicate versions - old and new. At one point had the bright idea of renaming the content of my community folder to make it easier to read/organize, but that means dropping in new versions of things to update wouldn’t overwrite the old, but rather live beside it. About to boot up again with just one (1) current version of Dispatch present, but I’m already very confident that’s the solve. Will update soon.
This worked brilliantly! Unrelated to this post, but I’m curious if there’s any plans or path forward to integrate sending fuel and payload data from SimBrief to the default systems in the EFB?
We have made some attempts at loading payload, fuel, etc, but it is not very straightforward to do meaningfully due to the many different fuel tank configurations, etc… Currently we are not prioritizing further investigation into it, but it would be cool of course!
