Hub shows a blank screen

when i open hub i am greeted with this weird screen:

i have uninstalled hub and removed the hub folder in %appdata%.

the main.log only shows this:

also, would it be possible to not set it to automatically start at login by default? the app is not that important that it constantly needs to be running in the background.
