Hello guys, I mainly use navigraph on an iPad pro 12.9 inches, all good but I noticed that the map icon of the aircraft can easily disconnects from the follow option, like with a simply move of my fingers to check something on the map, the aircraft will continue flying even outside of my view, again no big deal but how u guys doing, I feel like I have to constantly keep centering the icon to be follow with the aircraft path, thanks for any help!
Was just about to post the same annoying issue. Its the same for desktop version as well. Even though I have it set to auto follow I constabtly have to re-open the seetings or go to the toggle follow button and click it twice to auto follow. Why cant it just actually auto follow?
Hello! Thanks for the feedback!
It’d be great if you could elaborate on why this is unexpected. As far as I understand, you have enabled the moving maps feature (which centers the map on your current location) and then manually moved the map location with your finger, no longer centering on your position.
In this case, we disable the centering of your location. You have basically said “my controls” and we have released map control to you! This is how many other navigation apps work.
What would be the alternative? Would you expect the option to automatically re-enable after a few seconds of inactivity? We’re happy to hear your thoughts!
Perhaps worth noting: The Auto Start
option in the settings does not affect this behavior. Instead, this switch decides whether or not the Charts app will try to automatically start the moving maps function (and thus show your position on the map) when the app is launched or a flight is loaded.
The Auto Follow
option only decides the behavior when the above (Auto Start
) is triggered. Should Charts automatically follow your position in the map, or just show the position? This is decided by this switch.
Kind Regards,
Malte
