Eggd exmor1x sid

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone was able to recreate an issue that I’m facing, that is preventing me from flying out of Bristol (EGGD) in the PMDG 737 on MSFS 2020.

I can be on a stand doing prep and filling out my FMC as normal, and I select the EXMOR1X SID that terminates at 6,000ft. For some reason, when I go and depart the aircraft, somewhere between 1000ft and 6000ft, my sim just freezes and it’s unable to recover. The sim remains open with the sounds still playing but I am in a complete locked position. I have tried many scenarios that include:

PilotPlus scenery - froze at 1,000ft AGL
UK2000 scenery - froze at 1,000ft AGL
Default scenery - froze at 1,000ft AGL
Default scenery - NO SID - NO FREEZE

Would be interested if anyone could look at trying, or able to provide any suggestions? Not running any Frame Gen or any type of scaling things.

Thanks,
James

Hi James,
Thank you very much for the detailed report and your findings. I will check it later this week. I’m currently on vacation and therefore have limited time and resources.

Thank you very much
Richard

Cheers Richard.

Obviously can’t say for definite that it’s a Navigraph issue, but I’m running out of options now!

No probs James, it could also be a data calculation issue somewhere in the PMDG, but let me check it first before we discuss if and when’s

Thanks

Just an update on this, I’ve tried this with an empty community folder with just the PMDG 738 in it, and I’m still getting the above error. Trying all every other SID seems to be fine, but the EXMOR1X just doesn’t want to play ball. Additionally I have reinstalled the navdata a few times via the tablet, done a basic base-sim reinstall, and have just loaded the sim to test again and still getting the freeze.

It’s so bizarre to discover if it’s navdata, the PMDG, or if a complete sim wipe and reinstall is require, but I’m start to lose my marbles!

James

I will try it today James and will look what I can find out.

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,

Were you able to spot anything?

Thanks
James
