CODES of VFR WAYPOINTS X-Plane/MSFS

Hi

I have the same FMS Database installed on MSFS and on X-Plane 11 but some of the VFR Points have different CODES or they dont exist on MSFS.

For example the VFR Point COVA DO VAPOR (VP027) appears on a completelly different country.
I would like to know if this point is available in MSFS with a different CODE or if it is possible to add this and other points to MSFS, like you can on X-Plane 11 with the user_fix.dat file.

Hi,
such waypoints are also included in the MSFS dataset with exactly the same idents as in all other addons or sims. The issue here is the MSFS - it looks like VFR waypoints will not be shown and can´t be selected. I have checked the VPxxx waypoints which are near the LPCS and all waypoints are included.

Here from the source file, which will be compiled with MSFS tools into the BGL files:

I have now changed the waypointType to IFR for testing and than you see these waypoint and you can also select it, so this looks a limitation of the MSFS, sorry …

Yes and no, you can create a own package with all such waypoints what you need. You find more details in the SDK. To switch the types to any other type is a workaround but honestly not correct.

But again, everyone can create own packages with their own waypoints, airports, ILS, … and can use it.
